Kid’s Audio Books

Kid’s audio books are great fun, whether at home, in school or traveling. If you are taking a summer vacation with the kids, make sure to bring along some children’s audio books. They are great to listen to in the car, train or plane. Listening to audio books for children will help develop their imagination and attention. Moreover, it stimulates the love of words, educational and most of all, a great form of entertainment.

Audio books for children also serve as therapy for the autistic. These talking books have brought harmony on the back seats of cars throughout the world. Some of the audio books for children you should consider include the following.

1. The Lighting Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Book 1) – this has proven to be popular with middle school children and the upper elementary kids as well. This fantasy story features a middle school student, Percy Jackson and the revelations and adventures of his life.

2. The Frogs Wore Red Suspenders – children could not resist the funny poems set to music.

3. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (Harry Potter Series, Book One) – introduce children to the Harry Potter series beginning with this audio book version.

4. Charlotte’s Web – a classic story of friendship that was first published in 1952 and is a heartwarming tale of a small girl and a pig that needs to avoid a slaughterhouse, spider and more.

5. A Bear Called Paddington – story of a little bear from darkest Peru who went to England and finds himself on a Paddington Station and adopted by the Brown Family.
