Look for Online Textbooks

Textbooks often cause a strain to a student’s finances. Whether a student comes from a high income, low or moderate family, online textbooks could help ease the burden of school expenses and increase affordability of a higher education. One should be resourceful when looking for textbooks online. In Google or other search engines, try entering terms like cheap textbooks to find various websites that offer them for low prices and there are even sites that provide them for free. Furthermore, if you re searching for a specific book, type the name of that book, ISBN number and click ‘search’.  You can find results for it and then click on the link of the textbook on the results page.

Some websites with textbooks are Project Gutenberg, Classzone Search, Better World Books, and Half.com. In the Project Gutenberg site, type the book title or name of the author and choose “Go’ or select the advanced search to search by subject, language, category and file type. Choose the book you are looking for one the search results page. In ClassZone Search, choose the subject which your book is under, choose the state that your school is in and then click ‘Go’, and choose the name of the book you are searching for.

In the Half.com site, click on a title and you will be provided a list of sellers with the book for sale. Better World Books is a great site for all kinds of books, they are shipped free of charge throughout the United States.
